Farxiga is a Sodium Glucose Transport 2 inhibitor that causes sugar not to get re absorbed through the kidneys. Studies have shown that Farxiga may increase the risk for dehydration. If you take a water pill, you can be at risk for dehydration as well. Since the risk for dehydration may increase if the two medications are given together, it is important to consult with your provider to see if Farxiga is safe to take together with the water pill.
