Advise on People have low sugar

  • Anonymous ORIGINAL POSTER
My dad has sugar ranging from low is 80 to high 190, but his sugar often goes down. When it happens he has a spoon of sugar and he feels little better. He has proper diet and has his daily sugar and BP medicines. He has proper sleep and digestion. But as soon as he gets up from bed early in the morning he has his head swirling and his sugar level goes down. After breakfast once he checks his sugar it raises to 184 and he is fine So could you please advise what is the problem here and what can be the fastest action to be taken for the patient himself when his sugar goes down and how can this be treated? Regards Femina

Hello Femina, I would suggest taking your father to his doctor that manages his diabetes and discussing the problem. Perhaps a change in medication dose or kind? You can ask the doctor. My latest blog for diabetescare.net is on low blood glucose.
