Diabetes can cause skin problems when blood glucose is elevated over time. With elevated blood glucose, there is a resulting loss of body fluid. This, in turn, can cause skin to dry and lead to skin problems.

What Are Skin Problems?

As many as one-third of people with diabetes might experience a skin problem of some sort. However, you can prevent or easily treat some of these skin conditions if you discover them early.
