New member...about me
Greetings all. I'm new here. I'm T2 since I was diagnosed in July 2005...by my wife the Nurse Practitioner. I'm over weight...more than a little. Both of us had lap band surgery in Dec. 2009. I have lost over 50 pounds so far. I stopped my insulin pump on Dec 18th but my numbers are now climbing with the change of diet. I will probably start up the pump again next week after my visit with the Endo. I'm looking for friends here as well as in the Tampa area. Coffee is on me!

Walking Tip No. 5: When to Walk

The absolute best time for walking is 1 to 2 hours after a meal, when your insulin and blood sugar levels have settled down. Morning exercise is recommended, since it avoids the peak insulin part of the day, especially for persons with type 1 diabetes.
