It is easy, quick, and always a crowd pleaser.
What you'll need
- 3 small garlic cloves, minced or pressed
- 1 tbsp. plus 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 lb green beans, washed and trimmed
- 1/4 cup filtered water
- 1 tbsp. plus 1 teaspoon tamari
- 2 tsp. raw honey
- Step 1
In a large skillet, saute the garlic in olive oil over medium heat for about 3 minutes.

Add the green beans, water, tamari, and honey, and cook over medium-low heat until beans are soft but still slightly crispy. If the water evaporates too quickly, keep adding water by the tablespoon-just enough to keep the beans steaming.

SUBSTITUTIONS: You can use this same recipe for asparagus and many other vegetables.
