What you'll need
2 medripe Anjou or Bose pears
2 medGranny Smith or Golden Delicious apples
1/2 cupfresh cranberries
2 tbsp.frozen orange juice concentrate
1 medcinnamon stick
1/2 tsp.pure vanilla extract
1/4 tsp.freshly grated nutmeg
4 smallwalnut halves
Step 1 Cut pears and apples in half and core.
Step 2 Place in medium-size saucepan with remaining ingredients except walnuts and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer over low heat 10 to 20 minutes until fruit is tender. Discard cinnamon stick.
Step 3 Strain through food mill and serve warm or chilled, chopped with a walnut half.
