Summary

This festive Winter Salad can help you eat right any time of year.

What you'll need

  • 1 pkg. Italian salad dressing mix
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 med pears, cut into 3/4-inch cubes
  • 1 pkg. mixed salad greens (8 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup chopped toasted walnuts

Instructions

  • Step 1
    Place dressing mix, water and vinegar in cruet or container with tight-fitting lid. Add oil; cover. Shake until well blended.
  • Step 2
    Toss pears with 1/4-cup of the dressing in large bowl. Let stand 15 minutes. Add greens, cranberries, walnuts and remaining 1/2-cup dressing; toss lightly. Serve immediately.
