The best times to check your glucose is before meals and at bedtime. If you want to see how that holiday meal affected your sugar–check two hours after the first bite. You don’t have to check all those times every single day, if you are on meal time insulin, it would be beneficial to check pre meal blood glucose levels. Discuss with your healthcare provider how many times a day you should check your glucose.
