Were you just in your healthcare provider's office and found out you have prediabetes? Confused by what this means or not sure what to do? Here is some valuable information to make sense of what it means to have prediabetes and some strategies to try and avoid progressing to type 2 diabetes.


What is Prediabetes?

According to the American Diabetes Association, prediabetes is having an A1c between 5.7-6.4% or a fasting glucose of 100-125. A medical provider will do a blood test to determine this information and he or she will discuss it with you after they get the results.
